Hypocrite Clerics

Women marching for their rights, body autonomy, and freedom in their own country is considered an ‘unIslamic act. Fatwa is issued immediately to them for violating our ethical and moral values. Islam only awakens in our society when it’s time to remind a woman of her place in our society. When a moulvi sexually harasses anyone, their fellow clerics keep their mouths shut, and no fatwa is dare issued for committing a highly sinful act. Recently, maulvi Mufti Aziz ur Rehman’s video of molesting his student was leaked.

Moreover, when the victim tried to come forward to lodge a complaint, he was blackmailed and threatened to kill. Mufti Aziz ur Rehman was the same person to issue a fatwa on Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed for filming a song in the mosque; they both were slammed with immense criticism from Mufti’s fellow clerics. Both actors at least had the decency to apologize for their actions, but Mufti Aziz ur Rehman instead of apologizing, played the victim card by saying this incident was a conspiracy against his character and he was intoxicated then. Where are the maulvis now? Why aren’t they raising their voice on such an unholy act? It’s high time that hypocrite maulvis are held accountable for their behaviour, and the lives of innocent children and teenagers under their influence aren’t ruined.
