ISLAMABAD: The Club at Eighteen, a private members’ club that plans to offer world-class golf and other amenities, has opened its doors for pioneer members after a star-studded inauguration.

The club, located within the Eighteen community on Srinagar Highway, will be fully operational seven days a week from January 2024.

Marzena Mocko, General Manager of The Club at Eighteen, said in an interview that the club curates a personalized experience that surpasses expectations with limited memberships and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service.

“The club’s membership is a special privilege extended through invitation, joining an international family of friends that share a passion for world-class golf and the pursuit of the finer things in life,” she said.

The club offers tiers of membership, designed mostly for residents of the Eighteen community, with only 18% of its membership available to non-residents. It also boasts an extravagant array of amenities, including an extraordinary dining experience, a wellness corner and gym, a swimming pool and a pro shop adorned with top-of-the-line equipment.

Mocko said that the club is designed to cater to varied interests and members can also enjoy exclusive access to the Academy, which includes a range of outstanding indoor and outdoor amenities, such as cutting-edge Trackman 4 golf simulator rooms, an exceptional fitness studio equipped with Allegro Pilates Reformers, tennis, padel tennis and a futsal ground.

She added that the club will organize sports, social and international golf events annually. “For families, golfers and sports enthusiasts with a taste for cultured lifestyle, membership of the club unlocks access to privacy, exquisite hospitality and a haven situated in the natural beauty of Pakistan,” she said.

The club features an 18-hole golf course, designed by leading architects IDG and meticulously sculpted over the past four years. The course expands over 7,000 yards, incorporating the natural beauty of the rolling terrain and featuring panoramic views. It is currently offering nine playable holes, fully operational with bunkers, lakes and catch basins.

“The Club at Eighteen is developing the remaining 10 to 18 holes, which shall be playable in due time. Members also enjoy a unique experience with access to the Academy, an innovative indoor golf experience. This exceptional facility has five Trackman 4 simulator rooms, an inviting café, and sun-soaked Reformer Pilates and Yoga studios designed to enhance the workout experience,” Mocko said.

She also said that golf has seen significant growth in Pakistan, with heightened participation and an increased fondness for the game. “We presume that the positive trajectory will continue in the future, with The Club at Eighteen spearheading this journey. The evolution of golf in Pakistan seems destined for greatness, promising new courses in cities such as Multan, Lahore and Karachi and a flourishing community of enthusiasts,” she said.

The club’s strategic location offers easy access to its residents and members traveling from M2/M1 highways, coming from Lahore and Peshawar respectively. It is also only 10 minutes away from the Islamabad International Airport and 20 minutes away from downtown Islamabad.
