LAHORE: Three children lost their lives and three others sustained injuries on Sunday when wall of a swimming pool located in Badami Bagh area collapsed.
According to rescue 1122 and health officials, the incident occurred when the children were enjoying swimming at a private pool. All of sudden a wall of the swimming pool collapsed, leaving six children with critical injuries, the rescuers informed and added that one child died instantly while two others succumbed to their injuries in hospital.
The police said the deceased were identified as Saqlain, Azhar and Dilawar while the injured children included Hamza, Sagar and Abdul Basit who have been sent to their homes from the hospital after giving medical assistance.
The deceased and injured children were aged between 12 to 15 years. Police said that Azhar, 14, was a resident of Kasur Tabba Kalan who came to Lahore for spending summer vacations.
