PM to chair CCI meeting today

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair a meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI) later today at his office in Islamabad.

The 49th meeting of the body will approve the conduct of the seventh census.

The meeting will review the import of liquefied natural gas (LNG), allocation of 12 cusecs of water (additional) to the K-IV water project in Karachi, permanent secretariat for CCI and Attorney General Khalid Jawed Khan’s proposals under the Indus Water Treaty.

The meeting will review the implementation of the previous CCI meetings’ decisions.

The body’s annual report will also be presented in the meeting.
