Punjab govt resumes Metro, Speedo bus services in Lahore

The Punjab Masstransit Authority suffered a loss of over 120 million rupees in 22 days due to suspension of the services

Punjab’s Primary and Secondary Health Department has notified the resumption of Metro and Speedo bus services in Lahore after 22 days.

However, no decision regarding the resumption of Orange Line Train service in the city was taken.

The provincial government had suspended the Orange Line Train, Metro and Speedo bus services in the start of April in a bid to control spread of the third wave of coronavirus in the province.

Due to smart lockdowns, 17 routes of Speedo buses were suspended, 200 Speedo buses remained parked at relevant bus stands while Metro buses remained parked at their depot.
