Terrorist killed in N Waziristan operation: ISPR

ISLAMABAD: One terrorist was killed as the military conducted a clearance operation in the Mir Ali town in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Tuesday.

The security forces conducted the intelligence-based operation in the town, the army’s media wing said in a statement.

The statement added the operation was carried out on confirmed reports of terrorists’ presence in the area.

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the targeted place, the ISPR said, adding that the clearance operation of the area was in progress.

A surge in terrorist attacks on security forces in Pakistan has recently been witnessed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
