Pakistani students planning to pursue higher education in Europe can apply for the 2026–27 scholarship programme launched by Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The initiative provides fully funded study opportunities and aims to strengthen international academic cooperation while promoting Italian language and culture.
Under the programme, successful applicants can enrol at leading institutions including the University of Bologna, Sapienza University of Rome and Politecnico di Milano, among other recognised universities across Italy.
The scholarship offers comprehensive financial support, including a monthly stipend of €900, exemption from tuition and enrolment fees at public universities except for minor regional charges, and health and accident insurance. Awards are available for periods of three, six or nine months, with the possibility of renewal for students enrolled in longer degree programmes.
Pakistani applicants must meet specific age and academic requirements. Candidates for master’s degrees must be under 28 years of age and hold a relevant bachelor’s qualification. PhD applicants should be under 30, possess a master’s degree and provide a university acceptance letter, while research applicants must be under 40 years of age.
Applications are required to be submitted online through the official Study in Italy portal. Applicants must create an account, select an eligible course and upload all necessary documents, including a passport copy, CV, academic records, motivation letter, language proficiency certificate and relevant admission or research documents.
The expected deadline for applications is mid-June 2026. The scholarship programme offers Pakistani students an opportunity to access internationally recognised education in Italy while benefiting from full financial coverage during their studies.
