Father arrested for throwing newborn baby girl from third floor

A newborn girl died in Karachi on Monday after her father allegedly threw her from the third floor of a residential building.

Witnesses said the infant died instantly upon impact, prompting residents to call the police. Officers arrived shortly after and detained both parents for questioning. Authorities said an investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the incident.

In a separate case in Sharaqpur Sharif, Punjab, a landowner allegedly threw a young boy into a brick kiln after he asked for food. The child suffered severe burns and was taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, where doctors described his condition as critical.

Police said the boy’s mother, a beggar, reported that the man became violent when her son requested a corncob. Officials have launched an investigation and vowed to arrest the suspect soon.
