ANF seizes 30 kg drugs, arrests 8 in countrywide operations

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) recovered 30 kilogram drugs, arrested eight drug pushers in seven operations conducted in various cities across the country.

A spokesman of ANF Headquarters said on Sunday that 2710 intoxicated tablets were recovered from a parcel booked for New York at a courier office in Rawalpindi.

A Dubai bound passenger was offloaded and held at Islamabad Airport after recovery of 80 heroin-filled capsules from him possession.

A drug pusher was arrested with 15.6 kg hashish during a crackdown in Mandi Bahauddin.

Two suspects were arrested near Lakpas Toll Plaza Quetta besides recovery of 7 kg opium and 2 kg Ice from their possession.

During operation at Faisalabad road, two drug pushers were arrested with 1.2 kg opium and 1.2 kg hashish.

A suspect was rounded up near GT Road Jhelum with 1 kg hashish while another drug peddler was arrested with1 kg ice in Balochistan.

Separate cases against the detainees under Drug Act and further investigations were underway.
