Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz greenlights ‘Apna Chat Apna Ghar’ project

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has given the green light to the ‘Apna Chat Apna Ghar’ project in five major cities across the province, including Lahore.

During a meeting held in Lahore, she instructed officials to ensure the construction of high-quality houses at minimal costs and emphasized launching these projects in close proximity to urban centers.

The meeting also decided to seek guidance from the Pakistan Council for Architects and Town Planning for the design layouts of the houses.

Earlier this week, CM Maryam Nawaz sanctioned the provision of 1Kv Solar systems to 50,000 families in Punjab as part of the province’s energy projects.

The initiative aims to benefit households consuming under 100 electricity units per month, providing them with solar panels, batteries, inverters, and wiring. Emphasizing the importance of quality, CM Maryam directed officials to ensure that the products meet the highest standards to alleviate the burden of expensive electricity bills for the public.

Furthermore, she instructed authorities to commence the pilot project within the province.
