PPP, ITP settle various issues in 2nd round of talks on electoral understanding

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Islami Tehreek Pakistan (ITP) have settled various issues in second round of talks between the central leaders of the two parties regarding the electoral understanding.

From Pakistan People’s Party side, Central Secretary General Syed Nayar Bukhari, former ministers Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Mukesh Kumar Chawla participated in the talks while on behalf of Islamic Tehreek, Central Secretary General Allama Dr. Shabir Hasan Maithmi, Central Information Secretary Zahid Ali Akhunzada, Central Deputy Secretary Syed Sikander Abbas Gilani and Deputy Secretary Information Syed Altaf Kazmi attended the negotiations.

During the second round of talks, negotiators from both sides reviewed various constituencies regarding the general elections in February and bilateral political issues were settled between the two parties.

The PPP and ITP leader have decided to continue the series of negotiations for the settlement of other issues, to finalize the matters in the next stage after consultation with their leaders.
