Fake mineral water plant sealed, owner held

SWAT: Additional Assistant Commissioner Swat, Muhammad Amir Khan raided a local brand of water filtration plant, where unhygienic water was being supplied to the masses on commercial basis According to a press release issued by the office of Deputy Commissioner Swat, during the raid all expired reagents and chemicals were recovered which were used in qualitative tests of water. The owner couldn’t provide the mandatory NOCs required for establishment of filtration plant.

It was also noticed that most of the water cans and bottles were refilled from tap water of washroom. The Assistant Commissioner immediately sealed the Aqua Swat plant and handed over the accused to local police station for lodging First Information Report (FIR) against him.

Meanwhile, two other milk shop owners were handed over to local police for overcharging the public. According to the administration, those involved in food adulteration and overcharging would be dealt with iron hand.
