Nawaz Sharif to return home before general election: Rana Sanaullah

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has clarified that Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) supreme leader and former prime minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif return back to country before general elections.

“No political engineering is taking place in the country and PTI chief’s claims in this regard are baseless. Why Imran has concerns if today something happening at the pattern of what took place in 2018.”

Talking to media person in the Parliament House on Friday, Rana Sanaullah said that Nawaz Sharif himself give the date of his return to country and no other can announce the schedule of his return.

He said that Nawaz Sharif has accepted the request to lead the party in general election and he will arrive back in country 60 to 90 days before the date of general election.

The interior minister said that if PML-N wins the general election, the person nominated by the supreme leader will become prime minister of the country.

He said that the PML-N not taken any decision regarding political affiliation or seat adjustment with any party.

“I am personally not in favour of affiliation with any party but seat adjustment can take place and we should keep the option open,” he added.
