ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi on Wednesday approved the reconstitution of National Economic Council (NEC).
The President gave the approval on the advice of the Prime Minister under Article 156(1) of the Constitution.
Caretaker Minister for Energy, Industries, and Investment Punjab S.M Tanvir and Adviser on Finance and Energy to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Himayatullah Khan have been made members of the Council.
The Council has been reconstituted due to the caretaker setup in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
