Death toll in Lasbela cylinder blast rises to 12

Lasbela: The death toll in a huge cylinder blast which occurred in Balochistan district of Lasbela yesterday rose to 12 as more victims succumbed to their injuries at a Karachi hospital on Tuesday.

The explosion took place in a shop damaging nearby buildings and shops and destroying 25 motorcycles. Four shops and a hotel were totally gutted as a fire broke out after the blast.

Two people died on the spot while over two dozen were injured. As many as 25 wounded were rushed to Karachi’s Civial Hospital where 10 more died today taking the death toll to 12. The remaining 13 seriously injured were still under treatment at the hospital in Karachi.

The deceased were identified as Muhammad Qasim, Ghulam Rasool, Barkat Amin, Hidayatullah, Manzoor, Muhammad Yousaf, Iqbal, Zahoor Ahmad, Umar, Das, Mukesh Kumar and Munshi Abdur Razzaq.
