SHC bans heavy traffic entry into Karachi during day time

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court Thursday banned the entry of heavy traffic in Karachi during the daytime.

The court ordered that the entry of heavy traffic should be restricted from 6 am to 11 pm and the decision will be imposed from today.

The court also directed that heavy vehicles plying on the roads during these hours should be stopped rather than fined.

If any institution tries to violate this order or obstruct it, Justice Nadeem Akhtar stated, strict action should be taken against it.

He further ordered that whether a vehicle belongs to an MNA or an MP, it shall not have blue-yellow lights or hooters.
