Punjab bureaucracy reshuffle on the cards

LAHORE: Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz Saturday summoned a meeting of the members of the civil service posted in Punjab after taking oath at Governor’s House.

A reshuffle in the bureaucracy is expected after Shahbaz took charge of the province. Advocate General Ahmed Awais is likely to be replaced.

Following Lahore High Court (LHC) orders, Shahbaz was sworn in as the 21st chief minister of Punjab on Saturday.

Shahbaz was administered the oath by National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Asharaf on LHC orders after Governor Omar Cheema turned down the court suggestion and refused to do the same.
