Shehbaz urges his party to ‘prepare’ in order to end ‘nexus between NAB and PM Imran’

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has urged his party to gear up, as the time to “end the nexus between the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Prime Minister Imran Khan” has come.

The Opposition Leader, during an address in the National Assembly Lahore on Thursday,  said that Pakistan’s economy has been destroyed during the tenure of PM Imran in the last three-and-a-half years.

“Time had come to end this Nab-Niazi nexus… I ask the workers to prepare… Time has come to end this regime and this inflation… if we do not act now, Pakistan will be doomed,” he stated.

Shehbaz further said that the government officials had only put up plaques over the projects initiated during the tenure of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

“If you [Imran Khan] liked to put up plaques so much then you should have been given this task only.”

Shehbaz went on to state that PM Imran destroyed those who gave him votes but the time to put up plaques had ended now. “Now, the time had come when the people will start grabbing them by their collars.”

“Hundreds of thousands of people have lost their jobs. They [PTI] had promised 5 million houses but they haven’t laid a single brick during this time,” he added.

The opposition leader further stated that despite the surfacing of a number of corruption scandals including Malam Jabba, gas, medicine, sugar and rice, no one had taken any action.

He went on to add that the PTI government had handed over Pakistan to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and added that despite having an ample amount of electricity and gas, the incompetent government is unable to provide both to the masses.
