Parliamentary panel meeting to decide appointments of ECP members postponed

The meeting of the parliamentary committee on appointment of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) members has been postponed, a news outlet reported on Thursday.

According to the report, the meeting the committee was deferred to a later date on the directives of the committee chairman, Dr Shireen Mazari.

The committee, in its meeting to be held at a later date, will consider nominations by the government and the opposition for appointment as ECP members from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
