Pakistani man returns home after four years to find family declared him dead to seize property

KARACHI: A Pakistani national who recently returned home after spending four years abroad was left stunned after discovering that his own family had officially declared him dead.

The man, identified as Imran Malik, learned that the declaration was allegedly made to gain control of his property. As a result, his CNIC was blocked and his legal identity was recorded as deceased, creating serious complications upon his return.

Following the revelation, Malik has approached the Sindh High Court and filed a case against his family, seeking legal redress and restoration of his identity and rights.
