Flood damages another section of the M-5 motorway, causing major disruptions

JALALPUR: Motorway Police have reported significant damage to a stretch of the M-5 near Jalalpur Peerwala, affecting travel along the route. The M-5 has been closed for all traffic between the Multan Shershah Interchange and Uch Sharif Interchange, with vehicles being diverted to alternate routes.

Motorway authorities have directed drivers to exit at the Shah Shams Interchange and continue on the National Highway. Vehicles can then rejoin the M-5 at the Uch Sharif Interchange for onward travel towards Sukkur or Multan.

Travelers coming from Sukkur to Multan are advised to exit at Uch Sharif, proceed via the National Highway, and re-enter the motorway at the Shershah Interchange.

Motorway Police have urged all travelers to follow diversion signs and cooperate with authorities until the damaged section is fully repaired and reopened.
