LAHORE: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday visited the Tablighi Markaz in Raiwind and met senior elders of the Tablighi Jamaat to review preparations for the International Tablighi Ijtima scheduled for November.
During the meeting with Maulana Muhammad Ahmad Butler, Maulana Ubaidullah Khurshid, Dr. Saleem, and other leaders, the elders briefed the minister on the arrangements being made for the annual congregation, which draws tens of thousands of participants, including large delegations from abroad.
Naqvi lauded the services of the Tablighi Jamaat and assured that the government would extend its full cooperation to facilitate the event.
He pledged that visa-related matters for international participants would be prioritized and resolved without delay. “The delegations coming from abroad for the Ijtima are our respected guests, and every facility will be ensured for them,” he said.
The interior minister noted that he has been attending the congregation regularly and intends to join again this year, praying for the continued success of the organisers in their mission.
Maulana Muhammad Ahmad Butler, in his remarks, stressed the importance of returning to Allah Almighty and dedicating oneself to the service of Islam and humanity, adding that true success lies in following the divine path.
