Sweden resumes visa services in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Government of Sweden has resumed visa services in Islamabad, following the Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC) between Pakistan and Sweden, which took place in Stockholm on July 2.

The resumption of services will enable Pakistanis to apply for short-term Schengen visas for visits to Sweden, with stays of up to 90 days. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan welcomed the development, highlighting it as a sign of strengthened bilateral relations between the two nations.

Starting from July 7, Pakistani nationals can apply for their visas from within Pakistan. The Pakistani delegation at the Bilateral Consultations was led by the Additional Foreign Secretary (Europe), while the Swedish delegation was headed by the Director-General for Global Affairs from Sweden’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
