Locals protest encroachment on historic playground for political office

Residents of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 13A have raised concerns over the encroachment of a historic playground, as a political party begins construction of its office on the site. Locals fear the loss of their only remaining open space for recreational activities, such as cricket, football, jogging, and walking.

The playground has also been used as an Eidgah for prayers, and the community argues that the construction of a political office would eliminate these vital spaces. With all other playgrounds in the area already demolished, protesters are calling for an immediate halt to the project and have threatened to take legal action if the development continues. Despite attempts to contact Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town Chairman Dr. Fawad, no response has been received.
