Heavy rains flood low-lying areas in Lahore

Lahore is experiencing a heavy spell of monsoon rains with thundershowers, leading to waterlogging in several low-lying areas. The downpour has impacted various parts of the city, causing significant inconvenience to residents.

Some of the most affected areas include Gulberg, Ferozepur Road, Islampura, Mughalpura, Shiranwala Gate, Samanabad, and Lakshmi Chowk. Allama Iqbal Town and Mustafaabad have also reported substantial rainfall, contributing to the flooding on Ferozepur Road.

The highest recorded rainfall so far is 48 mm at Kurtaba Square. The heavy rains have resulted in standing water in several regions, disrupting daily activities and causing traffic congestion.
