KP govt to dispute latest Tosha Khana allegations against Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced its decision to file a legal challenge against the latest Tosha Khana case involving former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi.

Mossadegh Abbasi, the Special Assistant on Anti-Corruption, labeled the case as “baseless,” drawing parallels to the previously contested marriage case.

Abbasi stated that the allegations against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi stem from claims that gifts were not procured through Tosha Khana and that their prices were allegedly undervalued, with records modified accordingly.

Notably, both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi had previously faced convictions in the Tosha Khana case, which were later overturned by a higher court, leading to their acquittal.

Recently, the Additional Sessions Court in Islamabad ordered the acquittal of both figures while suspending the sentences imposed in the Iddat case, further complicating the ongoing legal battles they face.
