Former PML-N leaders unite to form ‘Awaam Pakistan’ party under Miftah

KARACHI: Miftah Ismail, the former Finance Minister and ex-leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has announced the launch date for his new political party, Awaam Pakistan (AP), set to debut next month.

The announcement revealed that former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will serve as the first convener of the Awaam Pakistan Party.

Notable former PML-N members including Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi, Javed Abbasi, Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Rana Zahid Tauseef, Zahid Binnouri, and Sardar Anwar Soomro are set to join the new party. The group will also include former Health Minister Dr. Zafar Mirza and ex-MQM MNA Sheikh Salahuddin.

The official launch ceremony for Awaam Pakistan is scheduled to take place in Islamabad on July 6.
