Two ‘TTP militants’ killed by CTD in Rawalpindi

LAHORE: Two alleged terrorists from the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed by CTD in Rawalpindi, revealed the bureau’s spokesperson on Saturday night.

The spokesperson of the CTD reported that the deceased, identified as Naseebullah and Ehsanullah, were purportedly involved in an earlier attack on the Dolphin Force in Rawalpindi, resulting in the death of one personnel.

Furthermore, explosives and hand grenades were reportedly recovered from the slain militants.

In a separate incident last month, the CTD apprehended 22 individuals suspected of having ties to various banned outfits during operations conducted across different regions of Punjab, as per The News.

The CTD Punjab conducted a total of 232 intelligence-based operations in various districts of the province, resulting in the interrogation of 233 suspects and the arrest of 22 alleged terrorists along with weapons, explosives, and prohibited materials.

According to the publication, the CTD spokesperson mentioned that these arrests were made during intelligence-based operations conducted in Chakwal, Mianwali, Khanewal, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Bahawalnagar, Attock, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, and Jhang. The spokesperson further asserted that the apprehended terrorists had allegedly planned acts of sabotage and aimed to target vital installations.
