Suicide blast at check post in Khyber district injures 3 officials

PESHAWAR: Three officials were injured in a suicide blast at a check post in Khyber district on Wednesday morning.

According to the police, the suicide bomber rammed a car full of explosives into the Qam Akakhel Sarozey check post in Tirah valley of Khyber district, resulting in injuries to three personnel.

The injured officials, Subedar Muhammad Israr, Sepoy Iftikhar and Sepoy Shafiq Narul, were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

The initial reports suggest that the suicide bomber was targeting security forces at the check post.

The blast caused significant damage to the check post and nearby vehicles.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation into the incident.

Two teenagers killed as roof of under construction building collapses

Two teenage boys were killed when roof of an under construction building located at Aimanabad road of Sialkot suddenly came down on Wednesday.

Rescue sources said that the incident took place in village Dharmkot where roof of an under construction building collapsed.

Two youngsters including Abdullah 18, and Husnain 16, were killed in the incident.

Six vehicles of rescue took part in the operation, pulled out the bodies and handed them over to heirs.

A state of grief and sorrow prevailed upon in the area over accidental death of two teenagers.
