JI chief urges govt to reduce petrol price to Rs150 per liter

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer Sirajul Haq on Saturday said that the two families have been dominating the country for a long time and they are now again maneuvering to grab the power, warning that Jamaat will hold those accountable who have stashed their wealth abroad after coming to come to power.

In a statement on Saturday, the JI chief said that inflation and unemployment have increased due to the wrong policies made during the past five years. He regretted that the situation got worst from bad as the caretaker government was still pursuing policies of the previous government.

He demanded that petroleum price be decreased to 150 rupees per liter, after decrease in the value of dollar and oil prices in the global market.

Haq said that Jamaat-e-Islami was in the field to protect the rights of the people, saying the protest movement against inflation and inflated electricity bills will continue, saying a sit-in will be staged in front of the Sindh Governor House in Karachi on October 8.

Haq said that Jamaat-e-Islami was struggling to protect the rule of law and the rule of law in the country. He said that we want a clean and transparent election and the Election Commission should give the date of the election and conduct the election in an impartial manner. Haq said that Pakistan is the only country in the world that came into existence on the basis of an ideology.

He said that the world colonial powers did not accept it wholeheartedly from the beginning and made it the center of conspiracies. Haq said that the economic depression, unrest and explosions in the country are the result of the conspiracies of the colonial powers.

He said that the ruling elite imposed on the country for years submitted to colonialism instead of the nation and protected the interests of financial institutions and also promoted personal interests. Haq said that 30 million children are out of school in Pakistan.

He said that the children of rulers are studying in higher institutions abroad and their businesses and families are also living in Europe and America. Haq said that the Islamic system is the solution to all problems and only Jamaat-e-Islami can give the system of Quran and Sunnah to the nation. He said that the experiences of the last 75 years have proved that martial law and dynasties cannot improve.
