LAHORE: Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi Monday met Japanese Ambassador WADA Mitsuhiro and discussed with him matters of mutual interest including tourism, museum restoration, auto industry, water and increasing cooperation in various sectors.
The chief minister also discussed with the Japanese ambassador the ongoing programme with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
He welcomed the technical assistance of Japan to provide more facilities to the people of Punjab, adding that along with the Taxila Museum, the Lahore Museum would also be uplifted with the cooperation of Japan.
He said that Japan had a special place in the auto industry, seeking Japan’s cooperation for the manufacturing of electric motorbikes.
Mohsin Naqvi said that he wanted technical support from Japan for the development of Punjab, adding that Japan’s expertise in technology was unquestionable.
The Japanese ambassador assured the chief minister of Japan’s cooperation for technical assistance.
He said that Japan would continue cooperating with the Punjab government in museums, culture and other fields.
Provincial ministers, officers concerned and Honorary Consul General of Japan Aamir Shirazi were present on the occasion.
