Two political bigwigs call on Imran Khan, announce to join PTI

ISLAMABAD: In what appears to be a big blow to the efforts to crush the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), two prominent political and social figures on Thursday called on former premier Imran Khan and expressed their full confidence in PTI Chairman Imran Khan and PTI’s philosophy and formally announced joining the party.

Two important political leaders one from Sindh and one from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa officially joined PTI. Both the leaders made their formal announcement in a meeting with PTI Chairman, says a statement issued by PTI media wing.

Pir of Ranipur from Khairpur, Sindh, Pir Niaz Hussain Jilani, former District Nazim of Khairpur, Sindh and Haroon Khan Leghari from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announced their joining of the party, which clearly indicated that attempts to force people to leave PTI by unleashing a reign of terror failed to yield the desired results.

Contrary, an unprecedented increase has been witnessed in contacts with the PTI leadership by major political personalities from various parts of the country.

Pir Niaz Hussain Jilani was elected District Nazim of Khairpur by defeating the daughter of former Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah. Haroon Leghari belonged to the constituency of former federal minister Pervez Khattak.

Both personalities expressed their full confidence in the PTI leadership, Imran Khan’s philosophy of rule of law and Haqeeqi Azadi. Both the leaders strongly condemned the ongoing worst human rights violations and massacre of democratic values in the country.

They expressed their determination that they along with their colleagues would leave no stone unturned to spread the message and manifesto of PTI in the public. PTI Central Information Secretary Raoof Hasan was also present in the meeting. PTI Chairman welcomed both Pir Niaz Hussain Jilani and Haroon Leghari into the PTI fold.
