LAHORE: In a meeting at the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) head office, Deputy Managing Director (Operation) Qurat ul-Ain Memon chaired a gathering of over a hundred partners affiliated with the Foundation Assisted School (FAS) programme across the province.

The meeting’s goal was to brief the PEF partners about the repeated fines imposed on school owners due to non-compliance with the required indicators highlighted in the monitoring reports.

During the meeting, it was stressed that mandatory facilities should be provided to students and fines must be avoided.

PEF directors Samina Nawaz, Shafiq Ahmed, Zubaida Muslim Ali, Muhammad Shoaib, Additional Director Ayyaz Ahmad Urfi, and other PEF officers were in attendance, and they briefed the PEF partners in detail about the solutions to the deficiencies reported during monitoring.

Several issues were discussed, including the shifting of school campuses, school registration certificates, high student dropouts, ensuring infrastructure capacity, timely submission of monthly updates, timely updating of SIS data, following government school timing, submission of PUC without school name/code/contact information, reading of instructions and circulars issued by PEF administration, and ensuring monitoring visits of schools.

Memon praised the PEF Partners for their efforts in providing quality education to middle-class children from remote areas and acknowledged their individual problems, issuing orders to the concerned directors for their immediate solution.

At the end of the meeting, all partners expressed their gratitude to Memon for her time and reiterated their commitment to support the PEF management and do their best in the field of education.
