PTI Gujrat leader abducted, police lodge FIR

GUJRAT: A local leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Gujrat, namely Amjad Pervaiz Butt was allegedly abducted on Tuesday by unidentified persons and the local police have registered a case of the incident.

According to the party’s sources, PTI Gujrat leader Amjad Pervaiz Butt has allegedly been abducted by unidentified persons and his vehicle was found parked on the premises of a local shopping mall.

Butt’s brother submitted a complaint against the alleged abduction at the Rehmania police station.

His brother said that Amjad Pervaiz Butt is a close aide of former Punjab CM and PTI President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, whereas, his mobile phone is still going switched off.
A day earlier, former premier and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan demanded the immediate release of PTI’s Instagram lead Attaur Rehman.

In a Twitter message, Imran Khan alleged, “It has been 5 days since our PTI Instagram lead Attaur Rehman was abducted.”

“We demand his immediate release and an end to abductions and torture of our social media activists,” he added.

Khan said, “These young people have committed no crime & are being penalised simply for being part of PTI’s social media team.”
