PTI leader Zubair Niazi’s interim bail extended till April 4

LAHORE: While seeking a report from the joint investigation team (JIT) at next hearing, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore Monday extended the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zubair Khan Niazi till April 4 next in the case of vandalism during the party’s ‘jail bharo’ movement.

Zubair Niazi appeared before the court and got his attendance marked.

“This case is being investigated along with other cases by the JIT. The investigation report will now be submitted by the JIT,” the prosecutor told the court. The court sought the investigation report from the JIT at next hearing.

It is to be noted here that PTI leader Zubair Khan Niazi had filed a plea for interim bail in the case registered against him and Ibad Farooq by Civil Lines police for vandalism, violating Section 144 and damaging a police vehicle.

ATC Administrative Judge Abhar Gul Khan heard the plea. The post-arrest bail plea of co-accused Ibad Farooq has already been approved.
