Usama Satti case: Court awards capital punishment to two convicts

ISLAMABAD: The district and sessions court of Islamabad has handed down death sentence to two convicts and sentenced three others to life in prison in Usama Satti murder case.

Additional Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry pronounced the verdict. The court asked all the media representatives and unrelated persons to leave the court before pronouncing the verdict.

Sources learnt that the accused namely Iftikhar Ahmed, Saeed Ahmed, Shakeel Ahmed, Mudassar Mukhtar and Muhammad Mustafa were produced in the court handcuffed. The court sentenced Iftikhar Ahmed and Muhammad Mustafa to death and imprisoned Saeed Ahmed, Shakeel Ahmed and Mudassar Mukhtar for life.

It is to be noted here that on January 1, 2021, 22-year-old Usama Nadeem Satti was shot dead by the personnel of anti-terrorism squad in the G-10/4 area of Islamabad.
