Khan slams federal govt for suspending Punjab’s Rs400b health card scheme

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has expressed annoyance over federal government’s decision of concluding health card scheme in Punjab. Taking to twitter on Monday, he wrote that health card scheme was a blessing for majority of the population of the province, especially at the time when entire nation was in the grip of high inflation. Imran Khan further stated that due to this health insurance, the private sector was establishing hospitals in rural areas of the country. The renowned health journal weekly Lancet also lauded the health card scheme of Punjab, he added.

Conclusion of health card scheme exposes the degraded mentality of the corrupt political parties occupied by two families. It should be mentioned here that the federal government has ceased the present form and volume of 400 billion health insurance scheme of Punjab under which all sections of the society were being facilitated without any discrimination of their financial status.
