LG polls in capital to be precursor to victory in ‘Haqeeqi Azadi Movement’: Asad

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Secretary General Asad Umar said that the forthcoming local government elections in the federal capital would prove to be a precursor to the victory of the ‘Haqeeqi Azadi Movement’, as the PTI would easily trounce the 13 parties’ alliance.

Presiding over a high-level meeting held here on Thursday, Asad Umar said that the PTI fielded a large number of hardworking, loyal and capable workers for the LG polls in the federal capital territory. However, he added that the 13-parties corrupt group was struggling even to find a candidate for the LG polls in Islamabad.

The meeting was attended by PTI Islamabad Region President Ali Nawaz Awan and other party’s local leaders and office-bearers.

During the meeting, they held detailed discussion on the preparations of local body elections in Islamabad, the modus operandi of the election campaign and other important issues including PTI’s election manifesto.

The meeting also reviewed the formation of mobilization committees at the level of Union Councils in the three constituencies of the National Assembly in Islamabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Asad Umar said that PTI was the center of people’s hopes, because Imran Khan was the only leader.

He said that the success in local elections would lay the foundations of a new era of construction and development.

During the meeting, they also discussed preparation and planning for effective media campaign for local body elections in detail.

They discussed strategy to highlight and educate people about the manifesto of PTI through social media was also discussed in the meeting, besides approving the strategy to publicize the historic development works done by the PTI in Islamabad.

They also finalized schedule of public gatherings across Islamabad in the meeting. Party office-bearers were instructed to run affective election campaign of local representatives and special instructions were issued for campaigning of candidates at all levels.
