Govt trying to fix destruction brought by ‘irrelevant’ Imran: Marriyum

ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan has become ‘irrelevant’ and the government is trying to fix the destruction brought by him during his four years tenure.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Ms Aurangzeb said that Inflation, the sorry state of economy and foreign affairs, and historical debt are all Imran Khan’s legacy.

She said that the government’s focus was solely on the solution of problems being faced by the people.

“We are committed to a clear agenda for the development and prosperity of Pakistan. Through this agenda, we have made our national priorities and thinking clear before our people and before the outside world,” the minister added.

She said that the nation could see that there are two characters before it– one is constructive and other is destructive.

The minister quipped that Imran came to topple the federal government but had announced to remove his own governments (in provinces).

Taking another swipe, she said that the PTI chief said in his speech that he did not want to become part of this corrupt system, but despite tendering his resignation, he was still taking salary and other benefits from the same system.

Ms Aurangzeb said that no face saving could salvage the PTI image as people have seen its true face. She lamented that though situation has changed but the ‘agenda of a liar and destructive mind’ has not changed.
