Transparency in institutions to be ensured via Financial Management Act: CM Elahi

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has said that transparency in financial matters of the institutions would be ensured through Financial Management Act which will eventually balance the returns
and expenditures situation.

He expressed these views while chairing a high level meeting held here on
Wednesday during which Financial Management Act was reviewed in detail.

The Punjab Chief Minister directed to immediately finalize the issues
relating the Act.

Pervaiz Elahi said was of the view that Financial Management Act holds key
importance for transparency in government funds and good governance.

He said that financial matters of the government organizations would be
monitored.

Financial Management and financial matters would be reviewed after every
three months, he added.

Pervaiz Elahi said that improvements would be made to bring betterment in
financial issues of the institutions and government organizations would have
to be answerable for financial mismanagements.
