KOHAT/RAHIM YAR KHAN: Three people were killed and two others injured over a property dispute in Kohat of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while three persons died and five others injured in a collision between car and trailer in a separate incident occurred in Rahim Yar Khan on Sunday.
According to police, the armed clash took place in Tehsil Laachi of Kohat over ownership of the property. As a result, three people were killed and two others sustained bullet wounds.
The injured and bodies were moved to a nearby hospital. The assailants fled the scene. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
In a similar incident that took place in Faisalabad, in the month of
February, this year, a man allegedly stabbed his wife to death, chopped her
body and dumped the pieces in Saim Nullah of Faisalabad over a property
dispute.
According to police, the incident had occurred in Faisalabad’s Chak-61 village when the husband with help of his friend killed his wife after she denied transferring her property to him. The culprits flee the scene after the incident.
In Rahim Yar Khan, three persons were killed and five others injured due to a collision between a car and trailer in Punjab’s Rahim Yar Khan district.
The tragic incident occurred on the M5 Motorway near Zahir Peer Interchange when a speeding car went out of control due to a tyre burst and rammed into the trailer.
As a result of the collision between the vehicles, three members of a family died, while five others were critically injured.
According to rescue officials, women and children are also among the dead and injured, adding that the injured have been shifted to the hospital for medical assistance.
In a statement, Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi has expressed grief over the loss of precious lives in a traffic accident in Rahim Yar Khan.
The chief minister prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved families to bear the loss with fortitude.
