Swat: private institutes outshine in annual inter exams result

SWAT: Performance of government educational institutions in the results of annual intermediate examinations conducted the Swat Educational Board was disappointing and questions were also raised on the performance of the government institutions by the public.

According to results issued by the Swat Education Board (SEB), student of Al-Madinah College, Khumaru Khaliq secured the first position by securing 1064 marks, out of 1,100. Amin Faheem, a student of Government Degree College Mingora, got the second position with 1057 marks and Muskan Yaqoob, a student of Al Madinah College, got the third position with 1054 marks.

BISES Chairman Prof Syed Nabi Shah and Controller Examinations Umar Hussain while announcing the results said that a total of 28,461 male and female students participated in the Intermediate part-II examination 2022. Out of which 25,868 were declared pass with an average of 91%.

They said that in the pre-engineering group, Larib Ehsan, a student of Al-Madinah College, got the first position with 1045 marks, Syeda Salwa, a student of Al-Madinah College, got the second position with 1041 marks and Bushra Aman, a student of Swat Children Academy, got the third position with 1009 marks.

According to the results, out of a total of 31,436 male and female students, 22,770 candidates have been declared successful in Intermediate Part-I with a percentage of 72%.

As most of the position-holders in the inter-examinations of the BISES from private educational institutions, questions have been raised about quality of education in government education educational institutions in the district.

The first position of the BISES was won by Khumaruk Khaliq, the daughter of an officer of the Swat Education Department, from a private institution. Apart from one half position, all the top ten positions come from private educational institutions, the performance of government schools in Swat has become a question mark on the lofty claims of the education department and the KP0 government.

The male and female students of government schools are complaining that on the one hand, the government is making claims for a uniform education system, on the other hand, the officials of the education department are enrolling their children in private schools instead of government schools. Which clearly proves the government’s claims to be wrong.

Parents have also expressed their regret that the ruling class and the officials of the education department are merely conducting photo sessions instead of improving the quality of education in government educational institutions. Due to which the quality of government educational institutions is falling day by day.

The children of the Elite class study in big educational institutions while the children of poor parents are left behind while studying in the same government schools.
