ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar called on UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles and discussed with them affairs of mutual interests.
During her meeting with the PM Johnson, Ms Khar emphasized the need for enhancing trade and economic ties with the United Kingdom. She also exchanged views with him on Afghanistan and other issues of common concern.
In her tweet, Ms Khar said that both Pakistan and UK had agreed to deepen their trade and economic partnership.
The state minister for foreign affairs met British PM Johnson in Kigali, Rwanda on the side-lines of the 26th Heads of Government Meeting.
AUSTRALIAN TO PROVIDE 6,000 VISAS
On the occasion, Ms Khar also called on Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles and exchanged views on matters of mutual interests. She also discussed visa problems for Pakistani students in Australia.
She requested the Australian deputy premier to solve the visa problems for those Pakistani students who were studying in Australia but came back home during Covid 19 pandemic.
Australian Deputy PM Marles agreed to issue visas to 6,000 Pakistani students.
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Khar also called on New Zealand Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta.
Both the leaders agreed to deepen Pakistan, New Zealand cooperation in agriculture, fisheries & clean energy and were looking forward to see the Kiwis play world class cricket in Pakistan once again.
