For first time, Swat hosts flowers exhibition

SWAT: An exhibition of flowers was held under the auspices of Pakistan Blooms, for the first time in Swat District here. A beautiful combination of flowers and leaves created by women artists, the artwork displayed at the exhibition enchanted the audiences.

Flowers that bloom in gardens and parks during spring are everyone’s favorite. But when these flowers and leaves are arranged in a strange but exquisite style, they become a masterpiece of charm.

Former Chief Justice of Pakistan and former caretaker Prime Minister Nasirul Mulk inaugurated the flower exhibition at Saidu Sharif, the capital of Swat District.

Participants took keen interest in the variety of colorful birds, bouquets and many other attractive artwork masterpieces put on display in the exhibition. The women artists made the flowers, leaves and twigs of the plants look more beautiful than ever before.

On the occasion, President Pakistan Blooms Farah Azam said, “we want people to come forward and take interest in flowers”.

“We had organized such exhibitions in major cities of Pakistan and now for the first time, such an exhibition has been organized in Swat.” She informed that they want Pakistan to be green and at the same time a soft image of Swat should be shown to the world. “Because Swat has seen so much suffering and thankfully it is now a history of the past”, she declared.

“Swat is a beautiful valley and we want to promote its soft image,” said Samina, a female artist. She added that Swat is a beautiful place and there should be beautiful flowers in this beautiful place. We started it and we succeeded in our mission.

Participants of the Exhibition said that flowers bring new colors to life. If these flowers are made a part of the arts then it can be lost and the cultural heritage can be sustained.
