Parvaiz Elahi condemns on-going crackdown in Punjab

Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Choudhary Parvaiz Elahi held a press conference on the current happenings in Punjab. Last night, several Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf leaders and workers were arrested by the police. One of the constables lost his life during the raids.

Parvaiz Elahi said,” Shahbaz Sharif and Rana Sana Ullah were convicted for the murders of the innocents in the Model Town incident.”
Among the killed people in the Model Town incident, there was one woman who had a child on her belly and her daughter was standing by her side. The police did not even bother to leave her.”

He added, “We passed legislation regarding the Khatm e Nabuwat in Punjab assembly, and in the same assembly, Muslim League-N and their supporters disrupted the law and order situation of the provincial assembly. Rana Mashood was leading all the situation and that we all have seen.”

He also indicated a journalist question that he is soon to call a session in the Punjab assembly before 30th May.

Chaudhary Parvaiz Ilahi replied shockingly when a question came about what he thought about the last night’s incident. To this, he replied,” how on earth he was martyred? Did they go to raid thieves? There were mothers and sisters of the PTI leaders at home and police entered their homes illegally.”

He further stated, “March was needed for the people of Pakistan for the clear reasons: the ongoing economic situation in the country, the foreign intervention (government is being dictated by them), and we demand free and fair elections as soon as possible.”

Parvaiz Ilahi replied to a question that the task is given to the workers and every worker will be in Islamabad for the march.
As far as the views of Imran Khan for the neutrals, he openly said that he supports his views for them.
