Federal govt offered Sindh’s Governorship to MQM: Waseem Akhtar

KARACHI: Senior leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM-P), Waseem Akhtar has claimed that the PML-N led federal government has offered Sindh’s Governorship to his party.

In a statement issued here on Monday, he said that besides being offered Sindh’s Governorship, MQM has also been consulted regarding other ministries but Coordination Committee of the party will take final decision in this connection.

Waseem Akhtar said that if PTI Chairman Imran Khan proves a foreign conspiracy in removal of his government, then MQM will stand by him.

“If MQM joins the Cabinet, it will take the ministries which will be in the larger interest of Sindh and its people,” he clarified.

The MQM leader further stated the ministries would be next step, firsts promises made with his party should be fulfilled.

Waseem Akhtar said that the Karachities have no source of entertainment, therefore, they went to PTI public gathering to spend their time till Sehari.

19 bikes stolen from PTI’s Bagh-e-Jinnah public gathering

As many as 19 motorcycles were stolen from parking of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) public gathering at Bagh-e-Jinnah Karachi on Saturday.

Police said that 10 complaints of motorcycle theft from the meeting of PTI public meeting were lodged with Jamshed Quarter police station and nine applicants were moved in Soldier Bazaar police stations.

Police said that the affected participants of PTI meeting in their applications were of the view that they left their bikes in parking of the meeting and when they return after attending the gathering, their motorcycles were no present there.

Six stolen bikes have been recovered by police while search for remaining was underway.
