Customs officials accused of Boostin injection smuggling

ISLAMABAD: The customs officials deputed at the Islamabad airport are accused of Boostin injection smuggling.

Sources have told Pakistan Today that a number of complaints have been lodged against the officials at the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal with regard to the smuggling of Boostin Injection and other artificial milk-producing injections into Pakistan.

The complaints revealed that the smuggling of Boostin injection continues with the connivance of customs officials namely Farrukh Gondal, Shahid Zafar and Fakhar Iqbal.

Smugglers import these life hazarding injections from Brazil, South Korea and South Africa and the smugglers manage to take out the illegal items with the connivance of the said officials, the complaint alleged.

The complaints further state that superintendent customs also reported this matter to Collector Customs Islamabad but he did not take any action against the said officials.

The above-mentioned officials also force their colleagues performing duties at the airport to clear the illegal goods and if someone does not obey their instructions then they get them transferred the staff to any other place by using their influence.

The sources said that Customs officials also make passengers flee if the smuggling attempt fails so that no FIR can be registered against them.

The scribe approached Collector Customs Islamabad Junaid Jalil as FBR headquarter sent the complaint to him for further action but no reply was received till the filing of the story.
