Pakistan, Kuwait to further raise joint voice against Islamophobia

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Kuwait on Friday vowed to jointly raise their voices against Islamophobia.

The pledge was made during a call on Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Shehryar Khan Afridi by Ambassador of Kuwait Mr Nasr Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi here at the Kashmir Committee Chambers.

During the meeting, Shehryar Khan Afridi appreciated the efforts of Kuwaiti Ambassador in restoring Kuwaiti visas for Pakistanis.

Kuwait and Pakistan, along with other Islamic countries, will continue to play an active role in fighting Islamophobia and other issues facing the Islamic Ummah, said Shehryar Khan Afridi.

The Kuwaiti Ambassador paid tribute to the dynamic role of the Government of Pakistan and especially Shehryar Khan Afridi in providing facilities to the refugees from Afghanistan and Jammu and Kashmir.

“The government and people of Kuwait are grateful to Pakistan for standing by Kuwait even in difficult circumstances,” said the Kuwaiti Ambassador.

“We pay tribute to the services of Pakistani doctors and medical staff in fighting the coronavirus,” added Kuwaiti Ambassador Nasr Abdul Rahman.
