Ink, egg thrown at Shahbaz Gill’s face at LHC

PML-N, certified gang of dacoits can fall to any extent for seeking NRO: Murad Saeed

LAHORE: A Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) worker Monday threw ink and an egg on the face of Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Shahbaz Gill’s face on the premises of the Lahore High Court (LHC).

According to details, when Gill entered the premises of the high court to appear before the court in a case, a man hit him with an egg.

Later, a man threw black ink on his face inside the LHC. The police have arrested the culprit, who was reportedly beaten up by the police and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers.

Later talking to the media, Gill said that the PTI would not reply to the PML-N activists’ treatment with him. He advised his party’s workers not to return the actions of the PML-N in kind.

He made it clear to PML-N that Pakistan was not their property. “We have laid down our lives for the creation of this country,” he said and referred to PML-N leader Mian Javed Latif’s remarks that the party would not raise the slogan of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ if party Pice President Maryam Nawaz was harmed.

He said that he was not sure whether PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif or his son Hamza Shehbaz’s political future was safe or not, but as far as PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif or his daughter Maryam were concerned, their political future had been sealed.

He also claimed that he has a recording of a WhatsApp call in which PML-N and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) PPP leadership were berating each other for failing to get the required votes in the Senate chairman elections.

He said that he would soon release the call to the media.

Gill had earlier written on Twitter that he would go to the LHC, leading people to believe that the attack was planned. He wrote that he was going to appear before the LHC and there were reports that miscreants of PML-N workers have prepared to attack him in the court.

However, he termed himself a soldier of Prime Minister Imran Khan and said that such tactics would not be able to deter his resolve.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry on Monday condemned the incident of throwing ink on SAPM Gill. In a tweet, the minister stated that “The incident of throwing ink on Shahbaz Gill is beyond condemnation, such actions will increase the bitterness”.

He said: “Black deeds (of opposition) will not be removed by throwing ink on others”.

Similarly, Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed on Monday said that PML-N, a gang of certified dacoits could fall to any extent to demand National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

In a video reaction, the minister strongly condemned an attack on Gill in Lahore. He said that they not only condemned but would also resist such an attack.

The minister said that PML-N leadership might be want to hide their dirty deeds by unethical attacks but they could not cover up their misdeeds and corruptions through such actions.

He said that PML-N leaderships were certified gang of dacoits and corrupt and the courts had also declared them proclaimed offenders.

Murad said that proclaimed offender Nawaz himself was hiding in London to escape cases of corruption against him and inciting against the country by using their goons.

He said that the absconder had become the second Altaf Hussain, adding that his both sons were also absconders and his close relative Ishaq Dar was also hiding in London.

He maintained that the attack on Gill was planned in the same way anti-national statement given by PML-N leadership.

The minister said, on behalf of PTI workers, he also strongly condemned the attack, adding that the whole PTI stood with Gill.

Murad said that Nawaz should have the courage to return to Pakistan, instead of spreading poison against the country and attacking institutions.

The culture of manhandling the politicians in getting popular in the country as the political temperature in continuously on the rise.

Earlier, PTI workers manhandled PML-N leaders outside the National Assembly on the eve of the Assembly’s session in which Prime Minister Imran took the vote of confidence in the absence of the opposition who had boycotted the session.

PML-N leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbassi, Mussadiq Malik, Marriyum Aurangzeb and others were manhandled by the PTI workers while Ahsan Iqbal was hit by a shoe.

Days earlier, on the eve of Senate elections, PML-N and PPP workers who were celebrating the Yousaf Raza Gillani’s win in Senate elections outside the parliament manhandled PTI’s Senator Faisal Javed and he had to run away from the scene to save himself.
