Karachi City Council meeting turns into ruckus after JI, PTI’s protest

KARACHI: The Karachi City Council meeting on Monday turned into ruckus after members of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) staged protest and also came to face to face against each other.

Presided over by PPP Mayor Murtaza Wahab, the meeting witnessed slogans of “mandate thief”. The meeting passed a resolution to condemn the desecration of Holy Quran.

The Mayor went on to say that mere slogans would not serve any cause or resolve the problems the city is facing.

Meanwhile, the members of both the JI and the PTI dragged each other during the meeting.
